Warrants
Arrest Warrants
While a judge issuing an arrest warrant is a serious issue, an experienced attorney can fight to get it recalled and/or canceled. At the Law Offices of Steven A. Cohen, Esq., P.A., we take a highly ethical and aggressive approach to arrest warrants as we do when defending our clients. Steve Cohen has a keen insight into how the opposing side handles criminal matters as well as warrants.
The complicated procedures involving an arrest warrant start with a police officer filing a report with the State Attorney’s Office. If the State Attorney determines that the officer has probable cause that a crime has been committed and that you were the one who committed the crime, an arrest warrant is issued.
This can cause panic in an individual involved in these situations. Often times attorneys will tell you that there is little that can be done in regards to a warrant. However, with Steve’s experience in and knowledge of the Court system, we can find timely solutions where others cannot. We take a proactive approach and do not take “no” for an answer.
For those clients of ours who have already been arrested, we fight for their release without posting bail or for a more reasonable bail amount and can also assist in arrangements for a bail bondsman to appear in court.
Bench Warrants
Failing to appear in court, failure to pay fines or violation of a court-issued order can result serious consequences which starts with the issuance of a bench warrant by a judge. Getting an attorney involved early can result in the bench warrant being recalled.
Again, some attorneys may tell you that there is little that can be done in regards to a bench warrant. However, with Steve’s experience in and knowledge of the court system, we can find timely solutions where others cannot. We take a proactive approach and do not take “no” for an answer increasing your chances of getting the warrant recalled and/or set aside and avoiding the possibility of physically being arrested. Our goal is to keep you out of jail. For those clients of ours who have already been arrested, we fight for their release without posting bail or for a more reasonable bail amount and can also assist in arrangements for a bail bondsman to appear in court.
